Bio


Born in Buenos Aires in 1985, where he lives and works as a visual artist, curator, cultural agent, VJ and graphic designer.

Agustin studied Photography (EFC Andy Goldstein) and Industrial Design (UBA), and attended a large number of courses, workshops and seminars on photography, visual arts, curatorial practices, production at institutions like UTDTCCRojasCIA-CentroCCEBACC Matienzo, etc. He studied painting with Luz Peuscovich and Paula Pogranizky, drawing with Mariana Sissia, and participated in Diana Aisenberg's visual arts clinic.

He is a founding member of Club Cultural Matienzo, an independent artistic and cultural space in Buenos Aires. He co-coordinates Matienschön, Matienzo's contemporary art space, where he curated many solo and group exhibitions. With Matienschön team, he also made collective works such as the videoinstallation and performance "1000 conceptual artists eat a banana" (2011).
Also at Matienzo, he is the graphic design director, and he participates in the educational area, where he organizes artistic labs, workshops, talks, etc.

Agustin makes artistic projects solo and with artists from different disciplines. He made and exhibited installations, multimedia and interactive pieces, video, photography, drawings, paintings, performances, etc. He exhibited his work in ArteBA, Festival MARDER-CCGSM, EMBAFestival Óptica Buenos Aires and Club Cultural Matienzo.

As a VJ, under the alias "Tony Rhonda" (and "La Perra Rhonda" duo with Laura Preger), Agustin made shows in venues such as CC KonexTecnópolisNiceto Club and Salón Real in Buenos Aires, during concerts and DJ sets by MompoxTomy WahlMorbo y MamboEmokorobáChoique and other artists. He also made live drawings and live video projections for the play "Intervención en El Perro", developed with  Natalia Fernández Acquier and Lisandro Rodríguez and directed by Lisandro. The play was part of Festival ESCENA 2011. Also, he participated in "Limbo", a performance held up at Club Cultural Matienzo as part of an event on the 10th aniversary of the 2001 Argentinean crisis.

Besides, Agustin gives a course entitled "The Photographic", which explores postmodern and contemporary theories, poetics and practices related to photography.
He participated as radio host in "Pica y sigue", a radio programme devoted to Buenos Aires' independent culture. In the present, he acts as visual arts columnist for the programme.
As a designer, he has developed projects in web, print, online and editorial design for many cultural organizations and events.
Furthermore, he offers linguistic services in English and Spanish: translations, transcriptions, subtitling and editing.
